We LOVED IT !!

I continue to be amazed at how great these weekends are, you get to socialize with good people, hear what varied lives we lead and how talented we all are as cyclists (stories from the road – yeah right).

The 50 strong OC contingent enjoyed 3 excellent routes - Kai-iwi beach Brunswick, Whanganui River and the Fordell loop – all in warm conditions with minimal breeze.  The rolling hills and at times lively pace certainly took a toll on my legs by the end of the weekend.  Hats off to Lloyd, Simone and Jeremy for all the work in arranging accommodation, meals, routes and Sag Wagon (special mention to Lloyd who sacrificed his Saturday ride to drive the support vehicle and yell words of encouragement at us).

Every years 3DT is a different experience but holds the same essence – friendly fun – I look forward to 2025
