Great day's riding, - 20 degrees, sunny, friendly with a bit of banter - is there a better way to enjoy the company of your OTB mates.

Gregors OTB 130km Alternative Winter Warmer ride from Masterton to Castlepoint heralded what we hope is a brilliant start to Spring.    17 committed riders headed out over some great country roads, rolling hills and stunning scenery with what ended up a strong tailwind  - blustery over the ridge into Castepoint, and a monster to push into on the way back. 

Fortunately the bulk of the headwind was left behind on the sunny coast.

The cafe stop at the Tinui Pub on the return leg, reminded me of all the is great about rural NZ - friendly yarns, sunny deck, good basic NZ tucker and a cheap pint !! could you really want for more ?

The old legs were feeling it by the time we got back to Masterton, however there's some K's in the bank.
