Its was a wet start to the 2016 Graperide, with over 70 OTB's and friends lining up for this year's challenge.   The conditions improved slightly for the start however everyone got wet at some stage.  Despite the poor conditions most of the riders returned home safely, other than Esko who had a slight off coming down the Havelock Hill but managed to box on.  Congratulations to all the hardy souls who participated and to the large amount of riders who received placings and UCI qualifying medals.  Special mention to Jonathan Paape and Juliette Lister who were good samaritans on the day, taking care of an accident victim - an example of the true OTB ethos and spirit.

There was great camaraderie amongst OTB's and friends at the Allan Scott vineyard for dinner on Saturday night - everyone was thoroughly entertained by Louise Blair's story of her stolen and recovered bike!

There was a bigger than usual turn out for the Sunday recovery ride when of course the weather had returned to nigh on perfect.
