A brave band of cyclists rode from the damp streets of the city to the dry, if somewhat windy roads of Makara. Young Calvin Standrill won the day with Steve Orchard a close second and gave Rob de Bique's race record of 26:29 a good nudge at 27:25 becoming 5th equal fastest finisher ever. Look out Steve.
