Have you ever read a book or seen a TV program that really rings true to your life?
Reading the book by Alan Pease " Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps" was one such occasion when my wife and I experienced this. After reading every chapter we both swore he had been living in our house and that the book was written specifically for us.
Last night my wife and I attended the opening night of Mark Hadlow's play MAMIL. It has been reviewed comprehensively elsewhere and it's not my place to let the cat out of the bag however, I can say it was a brilliant night. I can't think of a single Tar Baby who won’t relate to this story with MANY thinking Hadlow's been eavesdropping on their lives. A wonderful mixture of truth, funny, sad, happy, hopeful and uplifting moments.
Deciding that in my life I had had enough of being quiet, considered and modest I went along in my cycling top (yes I was clothed from the waist down) and sat in the front row. Fortunately for me, there were a number of people dressed in their cycling kit, which Hadlow appreciated. After the show ended he stayed around and mingled with the guests with many a selfie being taken.
Most of the shows are almost sold out so don't wait to book.
The show runs to Sep 20th at Prefab ,14 Jessie Street
