Although a bit chilly and threatening rain at the start things soon warmed up and apart from a headwind coming back down the coast conditions were good. Overall those who did the race last year saw decent improvements in their times, though several of us were left with a sense of unfinished business as cramps and general weariness took their toll in the last 40kms or so. There were minor crashes in Group 2 and Group 3, thankfully avoided by OTB riders.
