After the inaugural time trial on 13 May a group of Tarbabies met for morning tea to present Mike Bazalo, Past President For Life, with the highly prized, oversized, framed cycle jersey as an acknowledgement of his years as President For Life. During his tenure, Mike was responsible for organising a fundraising drive for Child Cancer, raising $160,000. Not only did this massive task bring the Onslow Tarbabies together as a cohesive group, it also cemented many friendships.

Mike's guidance and wisdom has been the foundation of the Tarbaby ethos since it's inception in the early '90's.
Fiona Bazalo was presented with flowers in recognition of the fact that behind every good man stands a far more valuable woman.

The new President For Life, Ric Van Weede was presented with the Chains of Office and sworn in at the annual Tarbaby dinner after the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge in November.
